Welcome to the new Code & Courts Basketball Academy by Dynamic Mentoring Tech, a program for students in grades 6–12 that combines basketball training, tech and trade skills, and real mentoring.
Basketball brings kids in. Tech and trades give them a future. Mentoring helps them grow into leaders.
How the Week Works
Tuesday: Tech & Trade Lab (1.5 hours)
Students learn hands-on in a classroom setting. Each lab starts with a fun review of last week, introduces one new idea, and spends most of the time on hands-on practice.
Saturday: Basketball + Mentoring (2 hours 45 minutes)
Two hours of basketball training, drills, scrimmages, and league play, followed by 45 minutes of small-group mentoring.
Two Levels That Grow With Your Child
NextGen Explore (Grades 6–8): $299/month
Students try things out and have fun. They learn their first Linux commands on a Raspberry Pi, get a first look at how heating and AC systems work, and build strong basketball fundamentals.
NextGen Prep (Grades 9–12): $349/month
Students build real skills: Linux, databases, cybersecurity, cloud basics, and hands-on HVAC. They play competitive basketball and, by the end of 11th grade, choose a tech or trade path.
Where the Court Meets the Computer
In our Basketball Stats Lab, students track their own shots on Saturday, then use real tech tools on Tuesday to analyze their shooting. Tech becomes the way they see their game improve.
Senior Capstone
Seniors finish strong with:
- Preparation for a certification exam in tech or trade
- A job shadow or internship with a partner business
- A final project they can explain in an interview
- A plan for after graduation
Mentoring That Matters
Each month focuses on a life topic like goal setting, handling losses, money basics, job interviews, and online safety. Students meet guest speakers from tech, trades, and sports, and set personal goals on and off the court.
Safe and Supportive
All coaches and mentors are background-checked and cleared, and we follow a two-adult rule for all mentoring. Students attend Tuesday lab to play in Saturday games, because the skills come first.

Lead by William Penn High School, and Kentucky Wesleyan great! Jason Hall. We develop this program simply because we know what works, as far as gainful employment and having a great time while you are doing it. We know all about basketball being a first love. But now we empower the next generation to add a trade with it. Therefore, the DMT Team decided to help make the decision to impact athletes by providing tech as an option.
