DMT Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Dynamic Mentoring Tech LLC (“DMT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. DMT is a workforce training and mentoring company based in Charles County, Maryland, offering technology and trades training programs.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. It applies to information collected through our website (dynamicmentoring.org), our training programs, online enrollment and payment processes (including online payments made through Clover), and any other communication with us.

By enrolling in a program, making a payment, or using our website, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information we need to enroll students, deliver training, process payments, and support career placement.

Information you give us directly:

  • Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
  • Enrollment details: program selected, education and work background, career goals, and confirmation that you meet age requirements.
  • Training records: attendance, progress, lab and exam results, certifications earned, and mentor notes.
  • Career support details: resume, LinkedIn or social media profile links, and job search information you choose to share.
  • Sponsorship details: if an employer, school, or workforce agency pays your tuition, the name of that sponsor and related billing contacts.

Information collected during payment:

  • Name on the card, the last four digits of the card, card type, transaction amount, date, and receipt contact (email or phone number) if you choose to receive a digital receipt.
  • DMT does not store full credit or debit card numbers. Card data is handled by our payment processor (see Section 4).

Information collected automatically on our website:

  • You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some website features may not work properly.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Process enrollments, payments, payment plans, refunds, and receipts.
  • Deliver training, assign your Technical Mentor, and track your progress.
  • Register you for certification exams and issue exam vouchers.
  • Provide career support, including resume help, professional branding, and internship or job placement referrals.

  • Send occasional news about DMT programs, which you can opt out of at any time.

  • Meet legal, tax, accounting, and licensing requirements.
  • Protect against fraud and keep our systems secure.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Payment Processing Through Clover

DMT uses Clover, a point-of-sale and payment platform provided by Fiserv, to accept card payments online.

  • When you pay, your card information goes directly to Clover and its payment partners, which process it under industry security standards (PCI DSS).
  • DMT receives only limited transaction details, such as the amount, date, card type, and last four digits.
  • If you enter an email address or phone number for a digital receipt, Clover may use it to send that receipt.
  • Clover’s handling of your information is governed by Clover’s own privacy policy, available at clover.com/privacy-policy. We encourage you to review it.

5. How We Share Your Information

We share personal information only as needed to run our programs, and only with:

  • Payment processors: Clover (Fiserv) and, if you use a payment plan, any tuition or payment plan service we use.
  • Training and certification providers: organizations such as CompTIA and online lab or course platforms, so we can set up your learning accounts and exam vouchers.
  • Mentors: your assigned Technical Mentor, who sees the information needed to support you.
  • Employer and internship partners: only with your permission, when we refer you for internships or jobs.
  • Sponsors: if an employer, school, or workforce agency pays for your training, we may share your attendance, progress, and completion status with them.
  • Service providers: companies that help us with email, website hosting, scheduling, and recordkeeping. They may use your information only to provide services to DMT.
  • Legal reasons: when required by law, court order, or government request, or to protect the rights and safety of DMT, our students, or others.
  • Business changes: if DMT is merged, sold, or reorganized, your information may transfer to the new owner under this same policy.

6. Data Retention, Security, and Children’s Privacy

How long we keep information. We keep enrollment, training, and payment records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements, generally up to seven years after your program ends. Certificates and completion records may be kept longer so we can verify your training for employers. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect information. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls, secure passwords, and encrypted payment processing. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by Maryland law.

Children’s privacy. Our career training programs are for adults 18 and older. DMT also offers youth programs, which require enrollment by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without verified parental consent. If you believe a child has given us information without that consent, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your Privacy Rights

No matter where you live, you may ask DMT to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
  • Delete your information, unless we must keep it for legal, tax, or contract reasons.
  • Get a copy of your information in a usable format.
  • Opt out of marketing emails or texts at any time, using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

Maryland residents. Under Maryland law, including the Maryland Online Data Privacy Act where it applies, you have the rights listed above. You also have the right to opt out of the sale of personal data, targeted advertising, and profiling. DMT does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion and correction; and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. DMT does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by California law. We will not discriminate against you for using any of these rights.
